Dickson will be a CF, as he played more there this season. He didn't even start a game in LF.

Really? Huh I always thought with guys that played DH went by there best position as opposed to most games played, but good to know moving forward.

He didn't play only DH this year. That only applies if they never played the field all season.

Ok - i just didn’t play him in OF, probably my confusion

So the rule is they get put at their best position unless they have played in a game at a different position?

is there a minimum number of games that kicks in under?

Yeah, rule is straightforward. Any time in the field at all, even if 1 inning, they get the retainer for the most defended spot. Nothing played, highest rated position. If no position, 1B.

I wouldn't mind a minimum inning set, but as of now, there's none.
