Smolov stole the show as his double hattrick was enough to get the win over Wales. The game started off lightning quick as a Smolnikov found Smolov's head to make it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Wales responded brilliantly and were ahead only 7 minutes later, as goals by Ramsey and Bale in quick succession rattled the Russians. Smolov would have two glorious opportunities to equalize, however would find the post on one and inexplicably miss the target on the other. However, the Russian forward would more than make up for those misses, as he would add 5 more goals to his opening tally all within a 33 minute spell to effectively end this game as a contest. Now Russia will face Turkey for a berth in the World Cup final. "It's funny that we end up facing Turkey next as it was our miserable showing in the 4-0 defeat that scrapped the 4-3-3 formation we used throughout the qualification stage. We knew we had to add more muscle in the midfield if we were to beat the very top teams, and hopefully it's enough to do just that against Turkey. We know that Arda is their main man, and he put on a show in that friendly that I will never forget. Hopefully he stays quiet or else we will be in big trouble!".

TSL stat: With his 6 goals today, Smolov ties Salah's all time TSL World Cup record for most goals scored in the competition with 9 set in the very first edition 3 years ago.

Korea holds off Iran to advance to the semi-finals of the TSL World Cup. Four 1st half goals from the Koreans proved to be enough as they were able to squeak by with a 4-3 win. Kim Shin Wook earned MOTM honors for his hold up play and creation as Son Heung Min stuffed the stat sheet with a goal and a pair of assists. The Korean defense was shaky but they kept Azmoun off the goal sheet which had to be the plan coming in. They will face the winners of Poland/Chile with a trip to the World Cup Final on the line.

Poland 0-0 Chile

Clean sheet for Bravo was predominant in leg one as neither side could muster much of anything.

Chile 1-0 Poland

A. Sanchez (E. Vargas) 10’

MotM: Sanchez

Golden goal just seconds after FIFA Match Commissioner Dr. RedAL925 informed the participants of the rules as a seemingly harmless cross was pumped home by Alexis.

Russia are BACK into the World Cup final after a dramatic 2-1 win over Turkey. "All week we've been saying how tough this match would be for us. TankeAguilar knows how to counter the things we do well, and has drilled his national team just like his club team over there in Turkey. The whole country thanks Dzagoev today and I bet he won't have to pay for his beers for a lifetime now!". Russian hitman Smolov opened the scoring with his 10th in the competition, a new record, before Tosun combined brilliantly with Erkin to cancel it out in the 34th. The rest of the match ebbed and flowed with no real guilt edged chances of note. In extra time, a one-three between Kokorin, Smolov and Dzagoev ended with the midfielder muscling his way into a one-on-one opportunity that he would not miss, sending the Russians into euphoria. "To get back to the final is a big cause for celebration. We will look forward to whoever we have to play and hopefully we have made the Russians proud of what we have achieved so far. We will of course look to defend our title, but the final will be 50/50 just like this match was and whoever has lady luck on their side that day will be victorious!"

Heung Min Son is the hero as his left footed strike in the golden goal period sends Korea to the World Cup Final. It was 93 minutes of scoreless soccer before the breakthrough. Heung Min Son struck the post early and Bravo made a decent save on a Koo Ja Cheol chance just after halftime but it was a largely a defensive battle. The win will see the Koreans take on Russia in a rematch of their only loss this world cup cycle. Russia, the defending champs, will look to take down CMac for a second straight World Cup Title.

In a match that will probably never be topped, Russia somehow threw away a 4 goal lead only to eventually win with a golden goal from their 34 year old attacking midfielder Samedov. The game looked to be one way traffic the entire first half as Russia built a 3-0 lead into the break, and even added a fourth 2 minutes into the second half. however, a crazy 14 minute hattrick by Sonaldo brought Korea right back into this one; with his hattrick goal being a questionable PK call on Zhirkov (who announced his retirement right after lifting the trophy). In the 90th minute a brillant Akinfeev stop from a Son header seemed to have won it for Russia, however in the 94th minute Kin Shin Wook was able to find a wide open Koo Ja Cheoul who cooly slotted it home to send ALL the fans on discord into euphoria. With the golden goal rule in place, Russia knew they had to strike fast, and that they did as the restart gave the team a "fresh start" and they were able to take full advatange, as Monaco's new man, Golovin put in a delicious cross right on the head of Samedov who made no mistake from 5 yards out! "We scored 5 today without Smolov which is a credit to the entire team. Korea did well bringing two guys most of the time Fedor would get the ball so it's a credit to them and their coaching staff. We are still unsure how we let a 4-0 lead evaporate but we will make sure to work on that in the coming years to try and improve defensively. We are happy for the Russian people, and of course, Mr. Putin, for backing us all the way towards our second successive World Cup title. We will be back next year to try to make it a hattrick but for now, let's focus on celebrating this amazing victory with our friends, family and fans!"
