Atlanta United start their campaign on the right foot with a 2-0 win over Tigres. The MLS team earned the points behind a strong defensive effort and timely moments of attacking brilliance. Hector Villalba struck first as he used his face to get in behind. Jusef Martinez made it 2-0 late to secure the victory.

Atlanta moves to 2-0-0 as they were able to hold off Shakhtar for a 2-1 win. Almiron and Martinez provided the firepower for the visitors as they controlled the first half to the tune of 2-0. Shakhtar cut the lead in half with a fortunate bounce off a set piece that found Fereyra all alone in front. Shakhtar threatened to equalize late but couldnt find the goal as Atlanta earned the full points.

A Comeback for the Ages
After a poor performance in game 1 of Division A play, the recently promoted German side did little in the first half to quell the fear of quickly going back down. After an early goal from Christian Benteke which found him, somehow, alone in the middle of the box for an easier header; Crystal Palace doubled the lead heading into the break with another goal from the big Belgian. They completely dominated the home team in the first half, just easily passing the ball around defenders and even hitting a few posts. Manager hckyjck was happy to go into the half only down 2.
The halftime speech did little to rally the troops as the 2nd half started much the same as the first with Crystal Palace dominating the ball and the game. But the game flipped very quickly when the Germans finally found the back of the net in the 72 minute with some nice ball movement just outside the box and a powerful 20 yard strike from Sabitzer. They quickly pounced on Crystal Palace to tie the game up not even 2 minutes later with a nice run and finish from Timo Werner. With some later substitutions, Leipzig found the winner with a tantalizing cross from the left side from the recently subbed on Poulsen that somehow found a way around the Crystal Palace defender right to the foot of Sabitzer for his second of the game. Poulsen then added a nice insurance goal after getting a breakaway and coolly slotting the ball past the Palace keeper.
Crystal Palace manager UCan will be disappointed in his teams Arsenal like collapse but will be able to take away some positives from the first 70 minutes. He will look to a better 90 minute performance the next game.
